Thanks to Thesmokerpro, I was able to smoke for the first time and cook the tastiest ribs I have ever had in my life. I found a great recipe online I had zero experience with how to use a smoker. I used a charcoal grill a handful of times my whole life. I selected the grill you recommended, you provided all the info I needed. Between this site and the videos from Weber. I cannot thank you all enough

Now that is solid! On a whim, I did just purchase the Weber smoker. Another Weber to add to my fleet. I have a large propane grill, a smaller gas grill, and a kettle and they are all Webers.
This new beast should be here next week. Thankfully I do have a buddy that is experienced. That and your advice may keep this rookie out of the dog house for ruining some tasty grub.
Great article. I decided to go with a Green Mountain Grills Davy Crockett pellet grill for my first smoker. I really liked the Traeger, but I found the Crockett for 300 and couldn’t turn it down. It’s a little on the small side, but the legs fold up as handles making it easy to transport, and the built-in wifi and app really make it almost too easy to make perfect bbq. I still prefer my brisket smoked using Hickory sticks and chips.
